Just wondering if any agencies out there are using e-ticketing. If so could you shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
. I have some inquiries about it.

I do not believe we are authorized to use e-tickets just yet. Should be something coming out about them in the next few months.

We are working our way to e-ticketing for bylaw tags. We just got mobile printers over the break, and now just checking on using report exec to create something that works.

Just wondering what equipment you purchased and if you've managed to find a system that works with report exec.

Sorry, my reply was in reference to use of E-ticketing for provincial violation tickets and not bylaw tags.

I think I posted this in the wrong place but here is an email from Tammy Spink in regards to eTicketing, I had asked her if we could use it as well because the RCMP have it installed in their new vehicles
" Yes, eTicketing is an option for peace officers but I do not have any information about the technology involved. You may want to see if the detachment can provide you with a contact for that. You will also need to speak with RCAS (Resolution and Court Administration Services) at the Ministry. This is the department that deals with the processing of tickets and assignment of fees back to the municipality. The number is 780-638-4747."

So I did some digging and turns out I wrong about us being "not allowed" to use e-ticketing. We are "allowed" but there is no AB gov system in place for us to simply join or use.
For those of you with access to the members forum Levi has posted some info / ideas there. If you don't have access don't worry, there is no "Answer" there. Just plans to move forward. Any new info or how to go about "getting e-ticketing" will be shared once there is a solution in place.
In the mean time can I ask one question,
I'm not saying we shouldn't be pursuing it but why the urgency?
Or maybe I just perceive it.

No urgency just another project on the go. It will be a long process but I'm just trying to make a determination if anyone has a system in place currently which it appears they do not. So going forward if I make any progress I'll let everyone know.
