On September 11, 2015, Leduc County Enforcement Services in conjunction with outside agencies completed a traffic operation in Nisku. Leduc County Enforcement Service would like to thank:
-Leduc Integrated Traffic Unit (RCMP & Alberta Sheriffs)
-Beaumont RCMP & Peace Officers
-City of Leduc Peace Officers (Municipal Traffic Unit)
Over the seven hour operation vehicles were stopped for seatbelt and distracted driver violations on Hwy 625 near 4th street in Nisku, Alberta. These types of violations are often the cause of and can result in serious injury collisions.
Officers were kept busy throughout the day and issued a variety of violation tickets including:
- 80 Seatbelt Violations
- 26 Distracted Drivers
- 68 Other Moving / Non Moving Violations
Total Violation Tickets Issued: 174
Among the drivers stopped, two were suspended and three vehicle were removed for being uninsured.
