AACPO Liability Disclaimer and User Agreements

The AACPO’s reputation for integrity is one of our Association’s most important assets. Maintaining our ‘tradition of trust’ with colleagues, regulatory bodies and government and general public is the obligation of each officer. We can fulfill this obligation by adhering to high professional standards of excellence and integrity.

By adhering to exemplary standards when posting information or queries to this web site and conducting our business with excellence and integrity, we enhance the AACPO reputation. All of us must take personal responsibility for conducting ourselves in a way that reflects positively on our Association as well as our employers.

This web site is offered to you, the user, conditional on the acceptance of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein, without modification. User access and use of this site constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

This is an AACPO web site and is provided as a service to the general public and the members of this association. Users agree to use this web site as permitted by membership status. Full "Member" access is restricted to AACPO members in good standing and approved sworn law enforcement personnel from approved agencies. Full members must register under a verified authorized employer email account and use "FirstName_LastName" format for their user ID.

Users agree not to:

Knowingly and without authorization, alter, damage, or destroy the web site system network, software, programming or documentation of data contained herein.
Use this service to conduct or attempt to conduct any business or activity or solicit the performance of any kind of activity that is prohibited by law.
Take any action which results in blocking access to this site by other users
Anyone using this system consents to administrative monitoring at all times.

Uploading or downloading files that contain protected information unless the user own or controls the rights thereto or has received all necessary consents.
Deleting any author attributions, legal notices or proprietary designations or labels in any file that is uploaded
Falsifying the origin or source of any material contained in a file that is uploaded
Knowingly introducing viruses or corrupted files
The user acknowledges that chats, conferences, bulletin boards, discussion webs and any other such interactive or communications forms hosted by this web site are public and not private communications.

Further, the user acknowledges that chats, posting conferences, discussion webs and other communications by other users are not endorsed by the AACPO and such communications shall not be considered reviewed, screened or approved by the AACPO.
