Darlene Roblin is an experienced consultant, facilitator, and passionate advocate with over 35 years of experience in law enforcement and emergency services. After earning a degree in Justice and Law Enforcement from the University of Winnipeg, Darlene dedicated her career to supporting the needs of Peace Officers and Bylaw Officers in Alberta, with more than 25 years spent in both frontline and supervisory roles.
Throughout her career, Darlene has been an influential voice in advancing the work and well-being of municipal enforcement officers. She has served on the Executive Board of the Alberta Association of Community Peace Officers, developed and facilitated provincially accredited training courses, and contributed to the CPOIP Training Committee. Darlene has also been a key participant in the Fatality Inquiry into the on-duty death of her colleague, Rod Lazenby. Her advocacy work has focused on improving legislation, policy, and the safety and working conditions of officers in the field.
In addition to her law enforcement career, Darlene has extensive experience in public information and crisis communications. As a Public Information/Media Relations Officer for over 20 years, she has played a critical role in communicating vital information during large-scale disasters, including the 2005, 2009, and 2013 floods in southern Alberta, and the Kenow Fire near Waterton. Her ability to deliver clear, accurate messaging during times of crisis has been crucial to public safety at local, regional, and national levels.
Darlene’s dynamic speaking style and passion for teaching make her a sought-after facilitator. As the owner of DKR Consulting Inc., she is committed to providing practical training and skills development that enrich both the professional and personal lives of her clients.
