Sherwood Park Male Arrested & Charged With Possession Following Traffic Stop

Sherwood Park, Alberta – On Tuesday June 28, 2016 at approximately 8:35 p.m. Strathcona County Enforcement Services stopped a vehicle on Wye Road, Sherwood Park, Alberta for a traffic violation.

Strathcona County RCMP were called to assist as the peace officer suspected there to be drugs in the vehicle. Police attended and determined there was drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and a subsequent search located what is suspected to be 126 grams of marijuana.

Payton Frederick KNOLL, age 22 (male) of Sherwood Park, Alberta was arrested and has been charged with one count of possession of an illegal substance and one count of fail to comply with probation order.

KNOLL has been release on a recognizance and his next appearance is scheduled for Wednesday July 20, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in Sherwood Park Provincial Court.
