TPR Instructor Accreditation Upgrade Sessions

Post by Jamie_Erickson »

PPCT Threat Pattern Recognition

ADTT was pleased to work with PPCT at their home office in Illinois to develop and complete the Alberta accreditation process for Threat Pattern Recognition. PPCT has received accreditation for the TPR Basic level courses including the full, in-service and recertification courses.

The new Canadian content includes Criminal Code of Canada implications for Use of Force, studies of notable Canadian Use of Force case law, objective reasonableness tests and the Canadian National Use of Force Framework and how it relates to the current PPCT Use of Force continuum.

Current TPR instructors will be able to access the newly developed Canadian manual, PowerPoint presentation, lesson plans, exams and Canadian certificates moving forward. There will be multiple half-day sessions throughout Alberta to get current instructors updated on the Canadian content to fall under the PPCT accreditation status.

The next sessions are planned for April 22nd in Okotoks, AB and April 23rd in Lacombe, AB. Both of these sessions will run from 1300-1630 on the respective days. Current instructors can register for either session by contacting us at safetystartshere@live.com. Once upgrade training has been completed, those instructors will have their names added to the approved accredited instructor list. This will allow them access to the accredited Canadian content when ordering course materials.

The cost for this training session is $150 plus gst per instructor.

We will be holding multiple instructor level courses for anyone interested in obtaining their instructor course for TPR in the next coming months.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us by email or at 403-334-0784 or contact the PPCT office at 618-476-3200.

Thank you and Stay Safe,
