The Town of Okotoks is hosting a 2-Day, Safety at the Door Course. The course will run September 23/24, 2024.

This course is comprised of 16 hours of instruction. The course is designed to give Law Enforcement Officers sound tactics and skills for approaching and effectively dealing with contacts on their own properties. Students will look at and evaluate case studies of relevant incidents as well as practical exercises.

Pre – Trip Preparation
Approach considerations
Cover and Concealment options
Contact and Cover Principles
Body Language
Proxemics
Communication skills
De-escalation strategies
Pre- Attack Indicators
